Choose how much grid power you want to use

We configure the appropriate mode for your solar system, daily driving needs and available site capacity, then explain how it behaves before handover.

Solar Only

Charging starts when at least 6 A of solar generation is available on a phase. Best when you want the vehicle to charge from surplus solar only.

Eco+

Set a solar contribution between 1 A and 5 A; the grid supplies the balance needed to reach the 6 A minimum charging current.

Eco

Maintains charging from a 6 A minimum and adds available surplus solar to increase the charging rate.

Automatic phase management

Better use of the power already available

On a compatible three-phase installation, the EVC2 can dynamically select the phase with more available capacity during single-phase charging. If an oven or another large appliance loads one phase, the charger can use another rather than unnecessarily reducing or stopping the charge.

How much is a Teltonika EVC2 installed?

Carbon Group's basic supply-and-install package starts from A$1,890. The final price depends on the cable route, switchboard capacity, protection, mounting, monitoring and any load-management work.

Can the Teltonika EVC2 charge from home solar?

Yes. With compatible monitoring and correct configuration, Solar Only, Eco+ and Eco modes let you choose how the charger combines available solar and grid energy.

Does solar charging need the internet?

Once correctly configured, the manufacturer's solar charging, load-balancing and phase-management functions operate locally. Online app or remote features may still depend on connectivity.

Do I need three-phase power?

No. The EVC2 can be installed for suitable single-phase or three-phase applications. The best arrangement depends on the vehicle, property supply, household loads and desired charging speed.

Can it stop the main switch from overloading?

With the required metering and load-management configuration, the charger can respond to household demand and available capacity. We assess the switchboard and supply before confirming this part of the design.

Will it work with my EV?

The EVC2 is available for common Type 2 charging applications, but the vehicle's onboard charger determines the actual charging speed and supported behaviour. We confirm compatibility as part of the quote.
