The plug-in kits can technically be self-installed, but a licensed sparky is required for any hardwired switching, new GPO on the ceiling, smart switch install, or Shelly module. All electrical work in Victoria must be certified — we file every install with Energy Safe Victoria under REC 35801.
Yes, with landlord or body corporate written approval. The plug-in switching option (no rewiring) is usually the easiest path for rentals.
A single-garage 8–11 hex kit: 4–6 hours, single visit. A double-garage 18–24 hex kit: 1 full day, two-sparky crew. We clean up before we leave.
Two of our kits are full RGB (HEXA Penta RGB and Nanoleaf Starter). For other kits we can add a Clipsal Iconic Wiser smart switch — Bluetooth, app, and voice control via Google or Alexa.
